Jacob's got mail

Jacob received a package in the mail today from his Great Grannie and his Papa Bill. It included a little note and this adorable fish shaped gummy candy. He was thrilled. I made him wait until he ate dinner before he could chomp into his fish. This picture doesn't do them justice. They are so colorful and bright. It certainly made Jacob's day :-)

Found a GREAT site today

I stumbled across a really neat website today while I was ready some friend's blogs. The site is Vanilla Joy and they have lots of great info for everyone. Also, the biggy... they are having a week-long giveaway of about $900 worth of scrapbooking supplies. Wowzers :-) Think I will have to visit them frequently!

Does anyone else LOVE Family Fun magazine as much as I do? It is truly my favorite. They always have very creative and fun ideas for families with young kids. This is one of my favorites. Balls, balls and more balls

I took Jacob and one of his friend's to Silly Town today. I love this colorful picture of Jacob landing on his back in the pool of balls. Today, this was his favorite activity to play with.

Frames

I made these frames over the weekend for Tyler and Conley. They are both having a birthday party on Saturday in San Antonio.

Silly Town

We went with several friends to Silly Town in Rosenburg (about 30 minutes from home) today. Here is a brief description from their website:
"Silly Town is an Indoor Playground. We provide many educational activities that encourage every child to use their imaginations. Kids can be Teachers, Doctors, Librarians, Chefs, Construction Workers, Mechanics, A Daddy or Mommy, Pirates, A Princess, etc... As if that isn't plenty they can take a stroll through the Market and shop, enter the castle of makebelive, take a relaxing swim in the ball pit pool, ride on our exciting roller coaster, take a ride around town on one of the many vehicles and so much more."
All the kids had a wonderful time. Jacob's favorite was riding the "roller coaster". He did it about 30 times and then the other kids wanted a turn. He wasn't pleased with having to share his coveted toy, but found other fun things to do as well. Jacob enjoyed working in the kitchen. He played with some of my friend's girls and served them tea in their tea cups. He also enjoyed using the microwave to make the girls some donuts! Silly Town has a Music Room and Construction Junction which Jacob loved. We were there from 9:30am-1:00pm. We plan to go back next week with a different friend who wasn't able to go this trip. This is a child's dream!

Sleepy Boy

These are a couple of pictures I took of Jacob sleeping on his daddy. He was so exhausted from our busy day of swimming and playing with friends.

Swing Jacob, Swing

Here are a couple of photos from a birthday party (Cole and Ava) that we attended today. I thought Jacob would really swing hard, but he didn't... I am not sure that he really knew what was actually going on here. He just knew that it looked like fun when the other kids were swinging! He was really happy when the pinata brook and candy flew out!

Good Deed Gone Bad

I put our empty (or, almost empty) ink cartridges in a charity recycle bag. One of those that I picked up at Petsmart, that benefits some charity for animals. Anyway, I put the sealed bag into our mailbox, raised the flag, and went on with the rest of the day. A few hours later Ryan called me while Jacob and I were out swimming. He said that our postal carrier brought my package to the door and said that the ink leak out everywhere on her. Permanent printer ink, of course. She said that she didn't think it damaged any of the mail, just her clothing. Oops...
