Play BALL

Here are a few photos of Jacob playing baseball with his daddy. He loves to play and is so hilarious, telling Ryan how to throw the ball so that it lands in his (Jacob's) glove.

At rest

I took this photo a few days ago. Ryan decided to rest before dinner and Jacob joined him.
Jacob is such a copycat of his daddy, with his hat over his face! Looks like Jacob's giraffe got in on the action as well!

This Old House

This poor old house is falling apart... We had a super high electric bill last month, so Ryan requested that we have our A/C unit serviced and checked on thinking it might be the cause of the sky high bill. We noticed our home wasn't as cool as it was this time last summer. Our A/C unit is new, we had it replaced last March. Anyway, the service tech. came out today and said our duct work was falling apart. He did a temporary fix, so that our cold air isn't just pumped into the attic, as it had been due to a section of duct work falling apart! Anyway, there goes another thousand plus for this old house.... He is the real kicker.... remember a couple of posts ago when I mentioned that we spent $500 having a mold treatment sprayed into the duct work. Well, needless to say that putting in new duct work (which is our next project) would have taken care of the mold issue. There goes $500 down the drain for this old house!

His Pearly Whites

Jacob had his first dentist visit yesterday with Dr. Po -- he did GREAT! Their office is very kid-friendly, so I didn't have to worry about Jacob wrestling anything to the ground or tearing something up. He did everything the staff and dentist asked. The best part... no cavities!!! Praise God!

Happy Father's Day

I made this for Ryan for Father's Day. It is made out of chipboard and covered with patterned paper. I attached the pages with binder clips and tied ribbons around them. There are pictures and quotes on each page. Jacob made his daddy a card and we bought him some new socks which Jacob picked out.

How my $69 air duct cleaning coupon turned into a $500 event...

I've been wanting to get our air ducts cleaned since we moved into this home. I was in doubt that they had ever been cleaned. Flipping through some coupons, I found a deal for a $69 cleaning. I called, made the appt. and they came out to the house today. They started cleaning our air ducts and found MOLD -- yuck!!! We've been breathing this nasty junk in for sometime now... Anyway, it ended up costing $500 to have it all taken care of. I did manage to get the ducts cleaned for the $500 cost though!

Letters for the Military

I was given this web address from a friend and wanted to post it here as well. I plan to send a few letters/cards and maybe include a couple of Jacob's pieces of art.

LIke Father Like Son

Jacob wants to be just like his daddy. He wears his sunglasses on his baseball cap just like daddy.

"It went to see Nemo..."

What I hear everyday after Jacob's bath. He watches the water go down the drain and says, "it went to see Nemo." It is so funny! He really feels like everything flushed down the toilet, or something that goes down the kitchen sink or bathtub drain, goes to see Nemo. So cute :)

The Barn Park

Here are a few of the pictures from our visit to the Barn Park. See the post below.

Behind Bars

I love this picture of Jacob. I took it today at the Barn Park in the Grand Lakes subdivision. We went with a group from MOPS and had a blast. It is a great park. There will be more pictures to follow...

Water Fun!

Just a couple of quick pictures of Jacob and Ryan playing outside with Jacob's "pillar" -- a caterpillar sprinkler that he received for his birthday. It is a wonderful sprinkler and Jacob loves watching its arms twirl around and spray water. His favorite is when his daddy gets wet!

It's been awhile...

since I've posted. Most likely because I haven't been chasing Jacob around with the camera! We have been busy though. There are quite a few things planned for this week. Today Jacob is going to see his Mimi, as she just returned from San Antonio. My big plans are to clean the house (thourougly) -- it is much easier to do without an extra set of "little" hands! Tomorrow, I start a new Bible Study about the book of Jonah. More later....
