Preschool: Day 2

Jacob seemed to enjoy his 2nd day at preschool. This week they are learning about the letter "A", the number "0" and the color "red". They are reading the book "Is your Mama a Llama" -- never heard of that one! He said he had fun and got to play outside -- which always makes him happy! He even mentioned that he talked to his friends :-)

School is EXHAUSTING!

I took this picture of Jacob the evening of his first day of school. He didn't nap that afternoon and feel asleep on the sofa around 6pm. School is exhausting!!!

Jacob's 1st Day of (Pre)School

I have a little (Pre)school boy now!!! He is only 3 years old, but so grown up. His first day of preschool was today. He wasn't thrilled that I was going to leave after the morning devotion and even cried for a minute. I watched as he walked to his classroom with his teachers and he was already smiling. When I picked him up 2 hours and 45 minutes (yes, that is how long he is at school!), he was so excited to see me! His teachers said he did great and immediately Jacob started telling me all about his day! He said that Ms. Kelly let him ride a train and he got a sticker. I think he will be okay with going back on next Tuesday :-)

Oh, and get this..... I didn't get any photos!!! I turned my (digital) camera on and got a low battery sign! I couldn't believe it! It just charged them recently! I did see a friend from church who was picking up her kiddos and she took a picture of Jacob. Hopefully she will e-mail it soon and I will post it here. I am surely charging my batteries before Tuesday and will attempt to get some pictures then!

Meet the Teacher Day

Jacob will be starting preschool on Thursday at Crosspoint Christian School. Today was "Meet the Teacher Day" and Jacob met his teachers, Ms. Stacey and Ms. Kelly. He was somewhat shy at first, but then settled into the room and played with a variety of toys while I "met" his teachers. He did get his photo taken, a tote bag (which he will carry to school), and a block (which we are to decorate with family photos and bring back to school for show and tell). His first full day is this Thursday and he will be there from 8:45am-11:45am.

I told him last evening that we were going to be meeting his teachers. He said, "Are they clowns?" He must have just pulled that out of the air, because he really doesn't know much about what a clown is!!! I said, "NO!" and gave him a simple and brief explanation of who a teacher is. He replied with, "Are they mean chickens?" Another one pulled out of the air!!!

Pray for a good day for both Jacob and myself on Thursday.
