Jacob and his pup!

 



















Jacob loves taking pictures with his dogs, especially Taylor! It is hilarious! He is always grabbing Taylor and saying,"Mommy, take our picture!" I am not sure that Taylor loves it, but they are cute!
For Christmas, Ryan and I bought him a digital camera (very inexpensive one!) because he loves to take his own pictures with my (mommy's) camera.

The Pumpkin Patch

 

 

 

Every year (since we have been living in Katy), we have taken Jacob to a local pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin. A couple of years ago he picked out a small one and named it "Squashy". Since then, every small pumpkin he gets, he has named Squashy! We always get a large pumpkin as well to carve. He has such a great time looking at all the pumpkins and gourds. Some are white, huge, narrow, bumpy... he loves them all! We had a great time.

The Desk Fairy

Last week Jacob and I got to school early to work in my room before class started, as usual. We went into his Kinder room and he noticed something different on some of the desks. It was glitter and a note! After checking them out, he saw that the Desk Fairy had visited a few of his friends! He looked at his desktop, which was bare (imagine a sad face). The Desk Fairy did not visit him. His teacher, Mrs. Alger said that the Desk Fairy visited friends who kept their desk organized with everything in their pencil boxes. Apparently, Jacob's was not organized! He said that his friend Hannah received a visit and she always helps him to keep his desk organized, so he did not understand why the Desk Fairy didn't pay him a visit!

Cool Weather = A Trip to the Zoo

 

 

 

 

I kept telling Jacob that when the weather turned cooler we would make another trip to the Houston Zoo to see the dinosaur exhibit before it left in September. When we woke up this morning it was cool! After school, we went to Chick-fil-a to pick up lunch and ate in the car on the way to the zoo. The animals were out, the zoo wasn't crowded and we were able to park up in the front!!! What a great zoo trip. Jacob of course, loved everything and could have stayed until they closed for the evening! He was so exhausted that he fell aslep in the car on the way home!

Down comes the fort

 

 

Jacob's fort is finally coming down. It started off as a swing set with monkey bars that his grandparents, Susan and Charles bought for him over three years ago. He has dearly loved it, but it is falling to pieces and is no longer safe for this 50+ pound boy! He and Ryan, along with our neighbor, Brandon, have spent the morning taking it down. Ryan is going to save a few pieces, such as the slide, and eventually they will build a new fort.

Gruene, TX

 
 
A couple of weekends ago, we went to Gruene, Texas. We went on our way to celebrate Tyler and Conley's birthdays in San Antonio. It was an adorable town. Ryan and I would love to move there. We had lunch with Susan and Charles. It was lots of fun. Jacob loved posing by this wagon. Of course, he want to get into it!
