Valentine's Day

 
 
For Valentine's Day, Jacob was sick with a sinus infection. Before getting him to the doctor, I let him open his Valentine from Ryan and I. We got him a giant Hershey's Kiss! He kept calling it a huge chocolate chip! Too funny!

Walt Disney World

 

 

 

 

We had a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World at the end of January! Our flight arrived late Saturday evening, so the fun didn't begin until Sunday morning! We went to the Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, even though we left Wednesday evening! Jacob had the time of his life. Jacob loved the hotel, however, not as much as the Omni (in San Antonio, that he dearly loves). He had a great time with Aunt Paula, he loved being with her and having her there for our vacation!

He really enjoyed Animal Kingdom, with the safari and the bird show. He said his favorite part was the bird show with "Gracho" a signing and talking parrot! I agree, it was funny! I enjoyed seeing all the owls there! The first ride that we went on at our first theme park (Animal Kingdom) was a Dinosaur ride where you take a train (rollar coaster type) through a simulated search for a T-Rex. It was WAY too scary for Jacob and he was angry at Ryan and I for most of the day after the ride! Go figure that it would be our first ride!

The Magic Kingdom was very 'magical'. We LOVED how everyone was so nice and plesant. The rides were great. Jacob loved the Aladin Flying Magic Carpets and the Spinning Tea Cups. I think he could have done those all day. He was a bit nervous to ride Big Thunder Mountain, but loved it when it was over! He said he would ride it again, but we didn't as the lines were getting long! We left the park around 3pm to go back to the hotel and let Jacob swim, while Aunt Paula watched him. We went back to the MK later that evening to watch the Main Street Electrical Parade and the fireworks. Everything was beautiful.

Epcot was fun, although a lot of walking. Jacob loved Soarin. He was so scared to ride it, but then it turned out to be his favorite!

Hollywood Studios was so much fun! We saw some great shows and also rode the Toy Story Mania, which we waited in line for about 45 minutes to ride. It was worth it. Jacob had a blast!

The Houston Zoo

 

 

 

 

Jacob and I went to the Zoo over the Christmas break from school. The weather was beautiful! I don't believe we have ever been to the zoo when it was so nice and pleasant. Usually it is super hot! We had a great time. All the animals were out and visible!
