Gruene, TX

A couple of weekends ago, we went to Gruene, Texas. We went on our way to celebrate Tyler and Conley's birthdays in San Antonio. It was an adorable town. Ryan and I would love to move there. We had lunch with Susan and Charles. It was lots of fun. Jacob loved posing by this wagon. Of course, he want to get into it!

Jacob and his pups!

He LOVES them dearly! He is always grabing them and saying, "Mommy, take a picture!" I don't think the pups enjoy it too much, but Jacob loves them!

Children's Muesum cont...

Here are a few more pictures from the muesum. Jacob said he had a few favorite parts. (1) The turtles in the pond. He loved them. He could have stayed at the pond the whole day and watched for the turtles or "turties" as he refers to them! (2) The turtles in the pond (yes, again), and (3) when the water came crashing down from the water exhibit. I have to admit that was probably the coolest thing, literally because it did splash water on us! The exhibit had a huge bowl of water that when filled (by the kids pressing on the water hoses) it tipped creating a huge splash!

The Children's Museum of Houston

I won free tickets from www.freckletown.com/katy to the Children's Mueseum of Houston. So on Saturday we went and had a great time. I was very crowded, but we were still able to see the exhibits and do the activities. Here are a few pictures of us at the phone exhibit.

Fun Friday

Jacob was such a great guy during our medical drama from yesterday. He was a trooper for his EKG and chest x-ray, so we had a Fun Friday! Ryan had planned to take the day off earlier in the week, so it worked out perfectly! This morning the guys went to Jacob's favorite breakfast place, IHOP, of course! Jacob had an omlet, two pancakes and hashbrowns. After IHOP, we finished Jacob's rocket (a birthday present) and took it and his kites to a wide-open field in Katy. There was no wind, so neither kite went very high. The rocket (which uses vinegar and baking soda) failed to launch on the first attemp. The second attempt was much better, but of course only last a couple of seconds! Ryan took Jacob to see his Mimi and Papa, as they have just returned from Argentina. Jacob could not wait to see his surprise, which is a totally fun hat! After dinner we went swimming. It was a fun Friday!
