Last day of school
This is a picture of Jacob with his Teachers, Ms. Stacy and Ms. Kelly. The end of school program was so cute! They sang "C is for Cookie" and also "Chicken Run". They were adorable. I got this photo from a friend and am hopeful that there were others taken during the performance that I can find. Jacob won the "Hardest Worker" award. I am super proud of him. It's hard to imagine that this year has passed so quickly.
Zoo trip gone bad...
Wednesday (May 20th), I took Jacob and Travis (his cousin) to the Houston Zoo. Before we even got there, I tried to cram Jacob's wagon in my car, but it wouldn't fit. When we arrived, there was literally NO parking. We ended up parking at the Houston Garden Center about a mile away.
Turned out that there were about 3000 school kids on field trips at the zoo that day, more than twice what they usually have. Was going to rent a wagon, but they were all gone, so we got this wonderful (notice the sarcasm) stroller. I spent the majority of our $$ on it! We saw a few animals, most were sleeping though. While we were in the petting zoo, the birds pulled our lunch out of my bag and ate it! They got pretty much everything except the little containers of peaches, which Travis spilled onto my camera. Needless to say, that my dials will no longer turn, that ended our pictures!

Water Day at School
Today was "Water Day" at Jacob's preschool. They played different water games for almost three hours! Jacob had a blast. They rotated to different water "stations", so they all got to do the fun activities. The teachers had a kid wash (similar to a car wash), play with shaving cream, eat a popsicle, get a tattoo, play in the sand, throw water balls into a hoop, sprinkler play, and bubbles. It was lots of fun for Jacob and fun for the moms to watch in the shade.

Happy Mother's Day!
We had "Muffins with Mom" today at Jacob's preschool. It was lots of fun! This is the gift that Jacob's class made for their mom's! I love the poem, but wish he was smiling, even his "cheesy" smile would have been fine. They presented each mom with flowers and also a 3-D hand print in a shadowbox. What a special day!
