Movie night was Friday, Oct. 10th. Jacob had been so excited about Movie Night at his school! The movie was Mary Poppins. Jacob was not to interested in the movie, but he did enjoy a few limited parts. We had a large Pepperoni pizza, four drinks, candy, chips, popcorn and cookies for all of us and spent only $12.
Before the movie started Jacob and I went to the book fair and bought a book for Ms. Stacey's classroom. I believe the title was The Littlest Scarecrow. We also ordered a few books about Fall for Jacob to read.
During the movie they had an intermission where Mary Poppins (one of the teachers -- she looked just like the real thing!) gave out lots of prizes. The prizes ranged from coloring books to Play-doh sets to games. Everyone was given a ticket when they arrived, so we had three chances. Jacob was very whinny after a few people won, saying that he never wins. They got down to the last few prizes and we actually won. Our prize was a couple of board games. One of them was Chutes and Ladders, which Jacob has discovered that he LOVES!
